Samsung and HTC are the two well-known brands and they are among the front runners who are going to change the market of smartphones. HTC Thunderbolt and Samsung Droid Charge are the two smartphones which are based on 4G LTE technology. Another name of Samsung Droid Charge is SCH-i510. It is the second smartphone model promoted by Verizon to maintain their LTE4G network. It is different from Motorola Droid series therefore there should not be any confusion among these two different models. HTC Thunderbolt is going to be the first model by this range to take the benefits of 4G-LTE network. These models have 4.3” of screen and the form factor is Candybar. Both have HTML internet browser. Here we are comparing these two models to give a better idea.

HTC Thunderbolt has the dimensions of 121*62*14mm and the weight is 177g. However Samsung Droid charge is of 130*68*12mm and the weight of this model is just 143g. It shows that Samsung Droid has the advantage here.
Display:-
HTC has TFT technology with the resolution of 480*800 pixels. Whereas Samsung has Super AMOLED Plus technology. There is no difference in resolution. Both of these models have capacitive touchscreen with multi-touch, proximity sensor, and light sensor facility.
Memory:-
The model of HTC has the memory Slot Type of microSDHC and microSD. The maximum card size is 32GB. Furthermore the built-in memory is of 8192MB. The slot type of Samsung is same and the maximum card size is 32GB. There is no doubt that HTC is ahead from their competitors. Internal storage capacity of Thunderbolt is 8GB whereas Droid has 2GB of onboard memory. RAM and ROM of Thunderbolt is also more in comparison to Droid. You can use 768MB in Thunderbolt whereas Droid offers 512MB. Therefore it is totally up to the user that how much the requirement is. Those people who require huge memory can give preference to HTC.

HTC contains the Bluetooth version of 2.1. It also has EDR and Wi-Fi (802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n). Headphone connector is of 3.5mm. DLNA and microUSB is also present. Samsung has also included Wi-Fi and microUSB. However Bluetooth version is 3.0. We can say that connectivity of Samsung is somewhat better than others.

HTC has music player and it supports various formats like MP3, AMR, WAV, MIDI, and OGG. Video Playback is also there. It can support MPEG4, 3GP, and XviD. YouTube player and FM radio is also available. Samsung is also loaded with all these facilities like YouTube, Video Playback and music player. Therefore both are equal in terms of multimedia support.

Camera:-
The camera of both the models is of 8MP and both contain the additional camera of 1.3MP. There is not much difference in Video capture facility also. Therefore both are almost equal in terms of camera.
Price:-
The price of Samsung Droid charge is $300 with a two-year contract while the price of HTC Thunderbolt is $174.99 only. The price of Thunderbolt with only phone is $669.99 only.
